Or perhaps one to disable autolock when charging? I listen to a lot of music through my iPhone 5 and iTunes match in the car, and when I have my iPhone on the mount and charging, I'd like to either keep the lockscreen lit or have the phone not sleep, automagically.

TIA!

20SecondLockscreen, despite its name, allows you to set auto-dimming to various time-out periods including never when hooked up to power.

Fantastic. I'll try it out!

Thanks.

Springtomize 2 also will do this...along with about 20 other tweaks.

I use 20 second lockscreen and jukebox just for this same thing.

Thanks for all the replies!

Tried 20 second lockscreen, it works great. But I am finding myself annoyed by the "slide to unlock" text constantly scrolling out of the corner of my eye :p

With that being said, is there something similar for disabling autolock when on charge? I think I'd rather keep it in the music app, without the slide to unlock.

Thanks guys :D

ScreenDimmer is the only tweak I know that can accomplish this. http://modmyi.com/cydia/package.php?id=18470
It's $2 so you can decide if it's worth it. Personally I've turned off auto lock since my first iPhone in 2008. I hate auto lock and manually using the sleep button is second nature for me.

Same thing here.

One option would be to add a custom slider via Winterboard. Most of them block the "slide to unlock" text--I had no idea 20 second lockscreen would show that stupid thing, but I'm always running a lockscreen. LOL

Otherwise, there's a few of free tweaks in Cydia under "autolock" or "disable" that you might try. It doesn't look like any of them have been updated in eons though. One possibility might be "NoLock". I also saw one that specifically disabled autolock only when AirPlay was in use--depending on how you connect to your car's speakers, that might work.

(Note: not endorsing any of these specifically as I haven't tried them personally.)

Thanks guys, appreciate all the suggestions. I'll have to check some of these out.

Unfortunately I use bluetooth to connect to my car, so I don't think that one would work. Sounds great though!

Activator and SBSettings. Under Power-->Connected in Acitivator, I have the AutoLock SBSetting set to disable. Under Power-->Disconnected, I have enable Autolock.

Hadn't thought about that (I know about the 2, fairly well)

Don't really want either of those for just being able to do what I want (trying to keep my JB as light as possible), but maybe I'll try it out :D

Thanks for the suggestion!

So I decided to go the SBSettings/Activator route. One thing I find annoying is the HUD that pops up when plugging/unplugging my iPhone. Is there any way to disable this?

I think he means with the SBSettings/Activator combo I mentioned in my previous post, there is a banner display saying "AutoLock Enabled" or "AutoLock Disabled" when pluggin in/unplugging the power cord.

I haven't really tried to get rid of this...I actually like seeing it so I know it's doing what it's supposed to be doing.

You got it.

If it was always just the banner I wouldn't mind it.

You could use DietBulletin to make it less annoying.

Good suggestion, but it really isn't the bulletins that bother me (and truly, it's not a huge deal either way). What I don't like is this HUD, that seems to pop up only when plugging the phone in when locked, which of course is often:

I have all alerts to go to bulletin, so I find it a little annoying that I have to have the old-school HUD pop up for this.

I had the thought that maybe I could turn notifications for Activator off in settings like any other app, but alas, no dice (there's no entry for it).

Still on the hunt for a way to disable this. Anyone have any other suggestions? Perhaps on a filesystem level? I'm comfortable making changes.

Thanks as always!
