I just picked up a 3.5" USB floppy drive for my Macs with the goal of pulling what data I can off of abunch of old floppies before I finally eliminate them.

Problem is that I don't want OS X to mount the disk, as all I am doing is using dd to create a drive image, and I don't want OS X mounting the floppy and creating .Trashes etc...

Is there any way I can tell the OS not to try and mount the disc?
