Would people here be upset if they did release a new ipad 3 that addressed heat issues. I know heat is a non issue to a many people, but I think some would prefer this if they had a choice.

I wonder if the day will come where they update the ipads silently like they did the MBP and the Imac with just updated internals for some updates.

I think that's exactly what you'll see with the tweaked iPad.

Same performance, but better battery life and less heat. Possibly slightly thinner, too?

Running warm to hot is an Apple trademark characteristic of most of their laptops and now the iPad 3.

Being thin and stylish has it's price. A price that Apple is happy to pay.

I've never heard of a heat related failure yet.

A bit uncomfortable? Yes, But a failure? No

Apple cannot possibly please everyone.
