Greetings!
I was reading a helpful little thread via the macoshints forums and followed some rather simple instructions on how to create a 3-pane view in Mail.
After tweaking a nib file with Interface Builder, we were able to do this but with an annoying little thing. First, by opening up the Nib file, you can select all of the items in the window, and change the orientation to vertical instead of horizontal. But the divider (between the messages window and the message window) stretches to accomidate making a huge ugly grey area. One poster deleted two specific tiff files to make it look right but the divider will not work.
Is there anyone willing to experiment with this and see what you can come up with? (of course backup your mail app first). I'm posting the link below so you can see what files to tweak, etc... It's actually quite simple.
I'm sure there is a genius out there who can help?
Here is the link:
Make Mail have 3-panes instead of two
Thanks in advance!
Jim
