I've got a lovely speedy ADSL2+ connection which I'm getting download speeds that max out around 1.5MB/s from off a synch at 17500. I'm not massively worried since it's pretty darned quick as it is although a few Windows bods reckon it should be around 1.8MB/s
There are lots of discussions on the ISP's forums about how Windows users should tweak their RWIN and MTU settings to increase their speeds but there ain't many knowledgeable Mac users there about whether the equivalent of RWIN should be tweaked on OS X.
I've had a few searches and this thread on Broadband Optimizer came up with mixed views - but it's pretty old and is only really talking about 6meg broadband as opposed to 18meg broadband. The recent reviews on Macupdate also seem pretty mixed and there's no info on what systems they were using.
So...since I'm sure there are a few ADSL2+ or TCP/IP experts out there... do I need to change anything?
