Hi all, I've downloaded the latest (Mac App Store) version of TweetDeck to replace the old Adobe Air version and found an irritating bug.

Notification windows no longer appear when a new tweet loads in my timeline. I have selected the check box to make sure this happens, to no avail. Strangely, the same version of TweetDeck works perfectly under Windows. TweetDeck support seem to be silent on this - I've sent two requests for assistance.

Has anyone else found this problem? Have you been able to fix it?

Not certain of a fix is out at this time, Twitter will have to update the app. Twitter has removed a lot of features. Review here. http://www.macstories.net/reviews/tweetdeck-for-the-mac-a-shorter-review/

I have both the old Air-based app and the new MAS version installed, and while I am annoyed at the loss of a number of features, the interface is cleaner and the program runs more smoothly for me. With luck Twitter will reintroduce the options that made TweetDeck good for power users, though. Otherwise I'm thinking of switching to HootSuite.

I especially like how they are completely silent when asked about this functionality. I love Twitter, but wish someone else built it and was running it.
