Twelve South today introduced a new product in its HiRise line, called the HiRise Duet, which provides charging stations for an iPhone or iPad, as well as an Apple Watch. The stand supports the Apple Watch's Night Stand Mode, which displays an alarm clock and turns the device's Digital Crown into a snooze button.

The stand has a 3.75" square footprint and includes an integrated Lightning charger for iPhone and iPad, as well as a Magnetic Charging Disc for the Apple Watch, all of which are powered by a single AC cable. The bottom of the stand is lined with a layer of leather to protect the Apple Watch from scuffs.

Unlike plastic stands that get dragged across the nightstand from the weight of the power cord, the all metal HiRise Duet stays put. This mighty one pound, dual charging stand weighs as much as three iPhone 7's. So when you reach for your iPhone in the middle of the night, or go for the snooze button in the morning, both devices will be right where you put them - atop HiRise Duet. You'll also notice the curves on HiRise Duet mirror the beautiful design of iPhone and Watch.
The HiRise Duet is available from Twelve South for $119.99. The stand supports the iPad mini, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, and any recent Lightning-enabled iPhone generation.

I feel like I see a post about the HiRise on MacRumors about every month or two, lol. I've always thought it was a pointless concept that would easily topple over. However, this is the first time that it makes sense to me because of the excellent placement of the Apple Watch charger. If they made the thing about an inch shorter in jet black then it would be perfect.

This thing looks ridiculous. Why all the space between the watch and the phone bottom? Oooooh. For the logo, that’s right. Skip the logo and make it an inch shorter. As it is now, it’s the Leaning Tower of Apple.

Definitely a bit shorter... It looks awkward, like a giraffe with no legs.

Amazing products, though. About as "Apple," as you can get in third party accessories.

This is the first dock that integrates both phone and watch (supporting nightstand mode) that I have seen. I have two docks (one for me and one for my wife), wires not included, nightstand mode not supported. This may just end up in my house.

I like it. Been using the regular Hi-Rise for several years now. Will be nice to get a couple of these for my wife and I to cut down on some of the clutter on our nightstands.

Nice that you don't have to provide your own charging cable, so you send up with a spare watch cable which is nice. Tough to swallow that price though...

Have a look for the 1ByOne Dock on Amazon (also looks to be some almost identical called One Dock), I have one and it charges my phone in its case and the Watch in Nightstand mode. You wire in your watch charger but the lightning connector is integrated. There are also 2 USB ports for charging other stuff on the back.

Looked it up and it looks nice. I especially like the extra USB ports in the back for additional charging. The only thing is that it looks like its not actually designed for nightstand mode. But at half the price this might work.

This stand looks like an accident waiting to happen with the iPhone stacked like that. It looks nice though.

I own two Hi-Rise docks, one a first gen with an iPhone and another 2nd Gen with an iPad Air, and have had zero issues with stability. They look more precarious than they actually are. I'm sure you could hit them and cause some damage, but that'd apply to many docks one way or another.

This seems ok and I think it'd work well with my sports strap. Not sure I'd like it with my Milanese loop band though given it looks like you'd need to have the iPhone unplugged to deal with the watch. For a loop style band I think some of the side by side docks may work better.

Hmm, looks great, but $120 is a bit too steep for me. Also what are the charging specs? It says total power is 15w which is a bit disappointing as that means it doesn't support the 29w fast charging of iPhone X...

Anyways, for my nightstand i'll go wireless. In the living room i'll keep the fast charger cable around a coffee table.
