Twitter 2.1.1 for Mac - conversation following?

I can't figure out how to read conversations using this app. On my iPhone or via my browser I can read a tweet and it's follow up conversations. I can't figure out how to do this using the Twitter app I downloaded via the Mac app store. The release notes talk about multi windows and the ability to double click on a tweet to see thE conversation but it doesn't work for me.

Any assistance appreciated.
