I used to use Echofon (the free version) on my iPod touch for Twitter. After using it for months it started telling me I had the wrong username/password combination even though I had never changed either and the app had stored the username and password ever since I started using the app.
So I downloaded Twitterific and that worked for a couple months. Then a few weeks ago it gave me the same wrong username/password combo error that Echofon gave me.
I downloaded the latest iPod software, deleted both Echofon and Twitterific, redownloaded the latest versions of both, and tried again. Neither worked. I also tried the Twitter for iPhone app and Tweet Deck. Both gave me the same error the others gave me.
I've read about the new OAth authentication thing but from what I've read it seems that downloading the latest version of the app should cause it to work, but it's not working for me.
Changing my Twitter password doesn't help. Has anyone else encountered this problem or know how to solve it?
