Twitter
for iOS was today updated to version 5.13, adding new search filters to make searching for specific content easier. Both photo and video search filters are now available, as are filters that allow users to see tweets only from the people they follow.

The app also includes an option to toggle between top tweets and all tweets when searching and there is a new trending timeline under the Discover section that displays trending TV shows and nearby events.
What's New in Version 5.13
Find exactly what you're looking for.
- Search results now show content that is filtered to the type of moments you want.

See what's trending on TV and close by to you.
- After you've browsed through all trends in Discover, you'll see additional trends about both TV and local content.

Better login verification.
- Take a screenshot of your verification backup code when you enroll or generate a new one.
Twitter for the iPad and the iPhone can be downloaded from the App Store for free. [Direct Link]

The official Twitter app has sucked ever since they bought out Tweetie

Tweetbot is the only way to go, for me.

The timeline still looks a complete mess and they prioritise implementing these trivial features.

The actions under each tweet are untidy and unneccessary - Twitter dumbing down the experience for new adopters and disregarding the loyal, long term users.

Tweetbot is a more than capable replacement until they sort out the timeline.

I'm having trouble getting Trends to even load.

I'm grateful for Tweetbot on the iPhone, and I really can't wait for the iPad update of Tweetbot.

I still use 2.2.1

This new version is so messy. Why do I need to see all the new followers and "connections" I have? I do like 2.2.1 and won't upgrade as it does what I need.

I love Tweetbot for iOS, but not so much for Mac.
