All Devices Twitter links from messages not opening in twitter app

Title pretty much says it all. For the last few days all of the sudden any twitter link on the web or sent through iMessage refuses to open the twitter app, instead opens on the web in safari.

Not sure if this is an apple bug, twitter bug, messages bug.....but it’s really damn annoying.


Any insights?

Certainly quite a few threads about it without much in the way of replies:

Clicking Twitter links in Safari no longer launches Twitter app.

It's happened since iOS13 upgrade. Can't seem to find a way to fix this. Anybody have any ideas?

Tweets not opening in Twitter app in iOS 13

Has anyone else who is on iOS 13 lost the ability (from 12) to have tweets open in their Twitter app? The links open in Safari and there’s no longer the choice at the top to “Open using Twitter.” Is this an iOS issue or something Twitter needs to update in their app? edit: This functionality...
