Twitter redirecting to Facebook

Hi all,
I was browsing on Twitter.com, and when I tried to follow someone there, it redirected me to Facebook.com. Now, whenever I type in twitter.com in Safari or Firefox I'm immediately redirected to facebook.com. In fact, twitter is being replaced by facebook in the url, so that if I type www.twitter.com/someone I get redirected to www.facebook.com/someone.

Bizarre, any help?

Update, a reboot seems to have fixed it. Whatever it was it's gone now.
Strange.
