My Appstore wont stop telling me theres an update for Twitter 2.1.1, Even if I install the update the little red circle will go away on the app but as soon as I open the app store again the circle pops right back up and it says that there is an update for twitter. I've tried deleting the app off of the iMac and still nothing, it will not go away no matter what I do.. Any idea's!?

Yea the only way I was able to get rid of it was to delete Facetime Beta. I didn't even realize I still had it as I never used it. Also, I read that if you have any apps downloaded from torrents it will do that and you have to uninstall those apps.

It's true that pirate apps can cause this.

I did this to fix it

Repair Disk Permissions using Disk Utility first.

Then reset your PRAM Like so (READ ALL STEPS FIRST):

Step 1: Shutdown your computer
Step 2: Start Up Your Computer
Step 3: Immediately after pushing the power button hold down: CMD+OPT+P+R until your computer restarts TWICE.
Step 4: Release Buttons.

Finally Reset your SMC like so (READ ALL STEPS FIRST):
Step 1: Plug in your power cord (if on laptop).
Step 2: Press > SHIFT+CNTRL+OPTION+POWER all at the same time, your laptop charger indicator light should blink through colors.
Step 3: Release all buttons.

This should fix it. At least it did for me.
