Greetings!

I have a new 2011 MBP on the way. I already have a 27" ACD monitor but I received a second one as a gift. I know thunderbolt can daisy chain multiple items but neither monitor has an out. Is there some hub or solution to allow me to run both at their native 2560x1440 resolution?

Thanks in advance!

I don't think so...but you never know what they might come up with. I have a feeling that one thunderbolt port only means one high res display (27" - 30" display).

Since you got the other one as a gift...consider selling? :D

The newly released ACDs have 2 thunderbolt ports for daisy chaining. This will not work on the ACDs with the minidisplayport.

True and not true.

I will now be able to connect my MDP ACD to a new TB ACD to daisy chain.

Before I couldn't do that with two MDP ACDs.

So you can connect a MDP to a Display and then thunderbolt to a display?

You can also daisy chain two TB displays?

But there still isn't a way to connect two MDP displays?

The chain would be MBP to Thunderbolt enabled ACD, then connect the Displayport only ACD to the output on the Thunderbolt enabled ACD. A non-Thunderbolt device has to go on the end of the chain, but otherwise I believe it should work.
