Hey all

So,
1.8 Dual G5 with the stock 5200 card. Currently I like the card because it runs my two displays. Samsung synchmaster (DVI) and apple studio display (ADC)
However, I am told that a newer better card (ati 9800 or something) might do me better..but they do not have the adc and I do not want to have to get an adaptor.
Can I run both cards?
Run the apple display out of the current card and samsung out of the new one?
Also on a budget what card is good? Would I get much difference in a ATI 9800? They seem to go on ebay for around 90.

Thanks.

Nope. If you want a second card it will have to be PCI-x.

Alright, so my buddy is a PC guy and has the nVidia 6800GT which was used in the G5's and was pretty good I believe and it is PCI-x. Is there anyway I could make that work?

That came in PCI Express, not PCI-X. Two different things.

It came with pci-x for PC is what I was saying and was wondering if I could use that in my G5. Is there something you can do? I hear something about flashing them or something
