I have two apple TVs v3 using the same network and same apple ID, on two separate televisions. One of them connects to iTunes via Homeshare. The other does not. The other one does connect to the internet, and is otherwise working fine. I tried some of the recommended fixes. I've tried shutting off ipv6, although I don't think this is the issue, because the other Apple TV connects just fine regardless, and it's not an internet issue anyhow. I've tried restarting, resetting, turning homeshare on/off on iTunes and turning homeshare on/off on the Apple TV. Nothing works. One is connected by hardwire to the router/modem (the one that's working) and the other is connected by wifi. But, when I connected the Apple TV that is not working to hardwire, it still didn't connect to homeshare.
