Hello to all.

I am a new Mac user and I would ask for clarification.

My hobby is photography.
When selecting a different color profile in the Display preferences pene in system preferences I noticed that I have two profiles with the same name (for example two name of Adobe RGB (1998), sRGB, ...).
I wonder why there are two identical profiles with the same name?

I have installed CC Photoshop, Lightroom 5 and Nik software filters.
I have Maverick X OS system with all updates.

Thanks for the reply.

most likely, just identical dupes. for some reason, i had this (with only a few profiles), and this was fixed when i upgraded to mavericks.

anyone else? there must be a way to clean the profiles out...

I had this with only two profiles namely Adobe RGB (1998) and sRGB IEC61966-2-1. These profiles appear twice rest of profiles appear once.
I called apple support and they say everything is OK.
But I think that the operator does not know exactly what it is.

I'm new Apple user and I have a macbook pro retina 2 months old with Maverick system.
Do I have to wait for a new system that duplicate profiles disappear? :) :)

deleting color profiles is not difficult, they are normally kept in three directories on your computer.

~/Library/ColorSync/Profiles
Library/ColorSync/Profiles
System/Library/ColorSync/Profiles

Take a look and you'll find the extra profile in one of them

If you are worried about screwing things up, just move one of them out to your desktop, and after testing and checking things when you feel it's safe, delete it.

Hello!

Could it be something wrong if I leave as like is – with two color profiles with the same nome (two adobe RGB and sRGB) in System preference dysplay pene (system preference – dysplay – color).

That does not bother me, but only if it is OK.

Thanks for replay.

Regards to all.
