Two day old iphone keeps restarting and no signals!

Hi everyone

I purchased an 8 gig iPhone 3G a couple of days ago and it stopped working today! It has been restarting itself over and over even after I restored it a few times. It also doesn't have any AT&T signals at all. I am planning on taking it back to the store but won't be able to until the weekend. Is there anything else I can try to do to fix it as I wait for the weekend to come? Thank you in advance

PS. I did not jail break it
