Yesterday, I bought a new iMac and moved my data from my old one using the Firewire target disk mode. While doing this, I got a message that there was a duplicate name on the network, and the host name of the old Mac needed to be changed (adding a -1) to it.

My old Mac is hooked up to a Time Capsule. Ever since the name change yesterday, it has had to go through two deep traversals at each new back-up, both lasting about 20 to 35 minutes. I suspected that the changed host name was confusing the TC, so I changed it back to what is was before (after making sure I also changed the host name on my new iMac too). However, this hasn't resolved the TC problem. Anyone know what I can do?

This is the console entry of the latest backup:

Notice the checksum-mismatches that keep returning... Useful indication?
