Just a thought, but there seems to be much confusion as to why people vote "negative" or "positive" for a particular rumour or news article.

I was thinking that it would be good if you could have two different votes for each rumour and news article.

Just something simple like "True" and "False" as well as "Good" and "Bad", or something more fun like "WooHoo" and "Dammit" :D

How often do you get an article like "iPhone Tomorrow?" where some people vote on whether they believe it or not, and others vote on whether they want it to be true or not? These of course give wildly different results. This would also provide a quick way of summing up a long thread that you don't have the time, will power or interest to read.

Percentages either way of votes would be awesome too.

Thx for reading.

Meh. It's a pity it took 25 posts to get over complaining about the polls.
Yep, that's the idea. Hope Big Arnie likes it. :D Two 1-5 scales might be a bit much though. I think just two yes/no options would be better.
