Two Finger Scrubbing in Quicktime X

I'm wondering if there's a way (like a terminal command) that can change Lion's QTX method of scrubbing, which is essentially rewinding or fast forwarding, back to Snow Leopard's method, which is scrubbing through frames. I find Lion's way to be way too jerky and inaccurate. Thanks!
