Two fingers on trackpad brings me to other location?

Quite often I will be in the middle of typing an email or reading on a webpage and I use two fingers to swipe up on the trackpad of my new MBP and it takes me somewhere else, two fingers allows me to scroll up or down, though it also seems to be bringing me to some other location. Anyone know what this is? I just tried to replicate it and was unable to do so.

Swiping up with three fingers will take you to Mission Control by default, I think. Is it possible that it's accidentally registering a two-finger swipe as a three-finger swipe? Maybe you're barely touching the touchpad with a third finger.
