Two harddisks in MacBook?

I have my macbook and i wanna install both linux, osx 10.5 and XP on it, and then i feel that 80 GB isnt quite enough. I mean its enough to have it, but in searching more like 330 GB so i can have quite a good bunch of space in all systems.
So i say, can i have 2 harddisks in a macbook?
Im thinking about keeping my 80 GB and then also putting in another 250 GB.
Is that possible?
 
Sure, it's possible. It'll require a lot of hacking and giving up either your battery or your optical drive (possibly both) and the end result might look really terrible, but it's possible.
 
Why not replace your 80GB with a 320 GB drive? I think Western Digital now has a 320 GB drive. It should give you enough space to install all of your OS's without hacking your MB and voiding your warranty.
 
250gb is more than you'll ever need for basic stuff.. u have videos? put um on external harddrive... just be careful you'll probably get a virus as soon as you load windows on it... my friend did .. it wasn't pretty.....
 
There are adapter/enclosures that take the place of the optical drive and allow you to drop an IDE drive into the system that way. Or you could just buy one of the new 320GB drives that have just hit the market.

The first time they appeared a month or so ago if not mistaken - they were sold out in about 2 days everywhere... from newegg, to ebay to WD's site.. :( But hopefully this time around WD figured out all the manufacturing problems :p

I'll probably be ordering one within the next week.

Wow, guess i gotta be pretty quick begging my mom then :eek:
 
That 320 looks nice. Sadly, I only noticed their existence last night and ordered the 250 instead. Many a time I've tried linux on a partition, but many a time it didn't work. Good luck with that though, I had no idea what I was doing.
