Not saying that no one's posted them before though - just that I haven't seen them, and find them both usefu!

Return to inbox in Mail (needs 3D Touch):

Particularly useful if you are deep in nested mail folders and just want to go back to inbox. Press the home button to go to springboard, press (3D touch) on Mail, and choose "inbox".

Get rid of "return to…" option in Safari:

Sometimes I open a safari link from mail, and want to keep an eye on mobile strength, or wifi strength or availability, all of which are hidden by a "return to mail" option. Pressing the home button to return to the springboard, and then opening safari takes me back to the web page, with the mobile and wifi information visible in the menu bar.

I know neither of these are "brain science", just two tips that I find time saving, and stumbled across. I have both Mail and Safari in my favourite four apps at the bottom of the spring board, so, for me, the first tip takes three actions (or two if you count activating 3D Touch and sliding up to a menu option as one action), and the safari tip takes two actions.

Hope somebody finds one or both useful!
