Hi,

I had purchased my first Apple Watch (Series 3 - GPS only) yesterday, and after updating the software to latest version I am having two issues :-

1> All was working fine with it since the time of purchase. The next day I reached my home country, updated watch OS from 5.0.2 to 5.1.1 (latest one), and now whenever I try to dial a number and press Call button, the watch restarts itself (Apple logo appears for few seconds and then goes back to the home screen). Can somebody else on the latest watchOS check and get it confirmed if the same happens with him/her ? I am pretty sure that this has something to do with the software because I was able to receive and make calls from my watch but now I can only receive calls but not make any due to this bug. I have tried resetting my watch, unpairing, re-pairing the watch as well, and contacted Apple Support via Live Chat. Nothing helped me. I went to the store in my country to check if the watches over there have the same issue, but they all were running the older os 5.0.2 therefore couldn't verify it.

2> Also, after updating my watch Raise to speak is not working. Whatever I speak to the watch, siri doesnt appear. It used to appear before 5.1.1 update.

Sounds like you’re doing all the right things. I suspect that WatchOS 5.1.2 will be released next week. Perhaps you can hang on til then to see if this corrects the problem.

I am on 5.1.1 on a Series 4 Watch. My Raise to Speak works maybe 1 time in 20 tries, so you’re not alone on that. Hoping the update will fix that.

Heya,

That's a great relief to me that it has not something to do with the hardware and that I'm not alone with this issue and yeah hopefully Apple will address this issue in the next update.

How about the Calling bug ? Are you facing this issue as well ? I am not able to make outgoing calls but I can receive incoming calls after 5.1.1 update. Before updating my watch, I was able to make calls and receive them as well. but now only receiving works and making outgoing calls crashes the application and restarts the watch.
