Hope this has not been covered previously.

I have my itunes library on my ext. hard drive. however this morning I forgot to bring it to work. When opening up itunes, it created a new library on my macbook. During this session I plugged in my iphone 3G and updated the firmware. Everything went off without a hitch except that it wiped out all my mp3s that I had on my phone. This is not surprising as I did not have any mp3s on this new library. My question is this; when i get home and access the old itunes library on my ext. hard drive will there be a problem recognising my phone? Cheers!

doesn't make a difference at all. i plugged in my iphone using the library on my ext hard drive and it just picked up from where it left off. no problems at all.
