Hi everyone, just a bit of advice needed.

I bought my girlfriend a MacBook for her birthday, wrote a message on the rubber bottom! And thought all was well until she started telling me it was kernel panicing (or asking me to turn it off in 50 different languages as she said) so we took it back to the store as early as possible which was 15 days after purchase and regardless of the personal message on it the genius swapped it out straight away.

Now this second 'Book has started switching to a black screen with the backlight flickering on and off faster than my iPhone camera can capture with the fan coming on at full speed needed to be turned off with a hold of the power button, it then refuses to turn on for 5 minutes.

Considering the fact that out of 7 Mac's I have owned or persuaded people to buy and this present only 2 have not had issues, my current 15" Pro that is approaching a year old and a 2008 MacBook that now belongs to my step-father, would it be out of reason to ask for a 13" pro as a replacement this time? I'm sure you can imagine that I won't feel very confident presenting her with a third MacBook were I will fully expect it to fail within a week.

Many Thanks,
Michael
