Hello,

i am new in here and i have read about some problems wth two monitors in some Threads in here. But my english is not the best and the threads are very long ...

So i hope that someone can help me :)

I have bought a flashed 4870 for my 1st Gen Mac Pro and it works fine. But yesterday i wanted to plug a second 23" ACD in and woundered that its not working :(

Can i flash my card with another ROM so that i can use two monitors? In a german forum there are some people who has the same card and for them it works with 2 monitors ...

Wait for Snow Leopard and your card will work without any problem.

Really? That sounds nice. I will buy SL of course and then i can use a second monitor with my flshed Sapphire 4870 1GB?

Nice and many thanks.

I actually would greatly like to know if this will work or not. I'm very anxious to replace my ATI x1900xt, and rather than spend the $350+ on the 4870 (plus money for an additional adapter to go from MDP to DVI) I'd rather buy the 1GB card instead!

XFX Card

You can do it now actually without waiting on Snow Leopard, just make sure you get the XFX 1G card since it's the one where both DVI's are working with the flashed rom.
