I got these two machines for my Boss' wife and daughter at MacroWarehouse, and unfortunitely they shipped with OS 9 and OS 10.1.5.

We also bought 10.2.

Can I simply use the 10.2 disk and wipe everything off the drive, OS 9 and 10.1.5 for a clean install? Or is there a better way to do this?

...Can't wait to set these babies up!

Depends....
if you want to use classic.
From my understanding if you need to use classic you MUST install it first.
Then you can install any version of 10 ontop.
If no need to use classic, you can start up off the 10.2 disk and wipe it and install 10.2 fresh.

You can get tricky an set up partitions and have one (OS)on each if you like.
But I doubt you will need that option.
can cause confusion on new users.
Hope that helps
Concrats on the new machines.....u will love them

:D

Thanks for your help...

Don't need Classic, so I'll just use the 10.2 disk to wipe the hard drives and do a clean install.

..in about fourty minutes I'll have two 17in iMacs side by side. That's going to suck! Maybe a picture is in store.
