Two printers at once

I'm doing some relatively weighty printing at home at the moment and I have two Epson printers (a DX7450 and a P50). Both are connected to an iMac running OS 10.5.8 via separate USB ports. I have tried setting up to run to both printers at once but it will only allow me to run either one at a time. I'm using the standard Epson drivers and software for each one - any ideas? Thanks in advance...

Are you trying to send the same job to both printers or print different jobs? As far as I know you are able to print to two printers with different jobs absolutely fine. They both get a unique address via USB so I can't imagine why it wouldn't work??

yep - 2 separate jobs. I can't understand it, either.

Two printers at once.

I do it out of Lightroom all the time, no problem there.
