One minor, one major, both with Lion, latest version (10.7.2 I believe?).

The minor one is that Apple Mail refuses to display messages in the standard view. That is to say, I have to double-click a message to open it and cannot view them on the side as is usual. Very confusing.

The major one is that I had to create a separate partition this morning for a dual installation of Final Cut Pro 7 and X. Installed them, deleted 7 again, deleted the partition it was on, tried to resize it... and couldn't. Disk Utility doesn't allow it because it's on my Macbook Pro's main HD. Tried to boot into the Recovery Disk and activated Disk Utility there. Still didn't work, told me the drive "couldn't be ejected". So now I've lost 100 gb worth of free space. What do I do?

Oh, and to top things off, my Bootcamp partition is also no longer available for booting (probably because I added a partition originally, which is now gone).

I'd really appreciate the help!
