1. Under Preview --> Settings --> Images, I have it set "When opening files ... Open each file in its own window." This only works for the first 14 files. If you try to batch open over 14 images, it opens the 15th and subsequent images in the same window (with tabs). Is there a way to override this with a terminal command? I like to have a lot of open image at the same time and I prefer them one to each window.
2. When opening a window in Preview and then resizing it smaller, Preview keeps the image width at 640 pixels no matter what. When you make the image smaller than that, Preview adds these black bars on the left and right sides of the image (see attached). This is a bit annoying when trying to reduce the size of multiple images and stacking them alongside each other. Is there any way of overriding this so the image shrinks without the black bars?
Finally, if the answer is no to both questions, does anyone know a free app similar to Preview that solves these two problems? Thanks in advance!
