Does the phone fit in the dock with it on?

I've heard people complain about the space left around the headphone jack. Do the Apple headphones fit well? I have a pair of the in-ear types.

1. No. Some lame cust support guy told me that the user was supposed to slip the bottom off to dock it (yeah do that and snap the plastic trim -_-)

2. If you have the straight down type connector like the stock buds then it'll work fine. If you have the right angle type like I do, it won't work.

Some right angle ones work. I use a v-moda headset and it works fine. The opening seems bigger than the one on the 2G where this issue started.
