#1- What size is the SIM? Is it nano, like the iphone5 or mini like the previous iPad?

#2- Has anyone tried an AT&T sim in theirs to see if it's like the iphone5 where it works on AT&T as well. I realize that you don't get LTE this way, but you do get 3G

Thanks

1. iPad Mini uses the nano sim card, just like the iphone 5.

2. I do believe that it comes unlocked out of the box for the ipad cellular models.

These questions have been answere multiple times but here you go...

1) mini uses the same SIM card as the iPhone 5 (nano-sim)

2) if you put an AT&T iPhone 5 SIM card in the mini it will work on 3G

Well 1 out of 2?

Correct that the sim is the nano sized. Unfortunately, working on AT&T (with an AT&T sim) doesn't appear to work.

Could be my sim, i suppose or something with the plan on AT&T which is a shared data plan and the sim in question is supposed to be for a tablet.

Can anyone else positively confirm that they have been able to make it work?

Me too my att nano simcard with unlimited data does not work if inserted on a mini verizon. No internet connection.

It should be working... The iPad is unlocked and runs AT&T's spectrum. Unless they somehow changed something to not work

Are you guys using iphone 5 ATT sims? If so, that's why it won't work, if you're using brand new unprovisioned sims then I guess Apple took out the 'works with ATT feature' on Verizon mini's.

2) yes it works; I tried it yesterday.

U have to go to this site to create APN profile:

http://www.unlockit.co.nz/#_Custom

Select:
Country: United State
Carrier: AT&T (HSPA+)

After u done, make sure to delete APN profile to go back to Verizon.

not for me... Using a nano sim provisioned for data from a full sized iPad 4. Still says not connected to a network

Have you changed the IMEI on your AT&T tablet data plan / session based data plan account management: https://dcp2.att.com/OEPNDClient/ ?

AT&T iPhone 5 SIM into AT&T iPad Mini

Hi guys, I am new to this and I appreciate your feedback.

I have an AT&T unlimited data plan on iPhone and LTE works great. I just got the AT&T iPad Mini and inserted the sim from my iPhone 5 and it didn't work. I created an APN from the unlockit site but I can never get LTE to work. I am getting slow 4g speed in an area where I would get LTE on my iPhone.

Is there another way to configure this? Why am I not getting LTE?

I appreciate your input.
