Two simple questions.... I hope

Anyway, two questions..

1. On my iMac is there anyway to get websites to fill the whole safari screen when opened to take up the whole monitor other than zooming in?

2. When I run an HDMI from thunderbolt to my TV I cannot get the sound to goto the TV. I goto sound settings and can click the TV, but it will not play through.

Thoughts?
