I have a 1TB tims capsule and a 1tb G-drive Can I have my iMac auto-bakup to both hardrives? the apple branded time capsule will back up the whole computer and the G-drive just my photos, music, movies, and documents. Please help, is this redundant?

You can set up folders to be excluded by Time machine and then back up those folders manually or with a cron script to another drive.

Redundent?? No, your system is lacking redundentcy. You need at least three copies of all data and one copy kept off site. Common causes of data loss are theft of the equipment, house fires, electrical power surges,... Time machine does not address any of those

What if the off-site building catches fire too?
