Would it work seamlessly - or be a pain in the ass? I.e. can I slip on my S5 to sleep in while my s6 charges overnight. Or is that not going to work well? Debating whether to trade in my stainless S5 for $240 and get a new stainless S6, or get a blue aluminum and keep my s5 and alternate especially for sleeping.

I do it now with my Series 4 and my old Series 0 with the AutoSleep app. Should work just fine with modern watches. I usually end up sleeping with my Series 4 and just wear the Series 0 for some time either in the morning or evening while my Series 4 charges.

I can’t for the life of me figure out why AutoSleep stopped working on my S4 months ago. I did all the trouble shooting they suggested and it still don’t work.

Yep, I do it with a Series 3 during the night (and DIY/gardening) and a Series 5 during day.

This will change to Series 5 for night and Series 6 for day.

it's so not necessary. charge your ONE watch 30-45 minutes in the morning and 30-45 minutes at night. boom! charged for sleep and day.

My resale value on my S4 is so low I'm going to keep it and leave it charged on the nightstand. If I remember I'll throw the S6 on the charger and wear my S4 until the S6 is fully charged and ready for sleep... otherwise I'll just wear the S4 for sleep and charge the S6 overnight (I'd still like the S6 for overnight if I remember since it does the O2 monitoring, although that's pretty minor.) Having two Apple Watches solves a lot of issues so why not since I have it here.

I buy two watches every year just because I like to wear one while the other one charges. I switch them out every 1.4 days or so. I really don't track my sleep much anymore but everything carries over to the watch switch over to every day without a problem. Sometimes I just have to turn on my phone for everything to sync over to the watch I just put on but it always syncs.

That’s what I do with my one watch my S4 and I haven’t had any issues charging first thing in the morning and then as soon as I get home from work.

Yeah your phone will switch between which watch you’re wearing automatically... I’ve been doing this since I got the series 4 (along with my series 2). I’d add that the only issue I run into is installing updates on both watches. It requires that the watch be on the charger... but as soon as I put one watch on the charger (and take the other off), it switches to the watch I took off the charger. Maybe there’s a way around this I haven‘t discovered, but what i end up doing is powering down the watch that isn’t being updated so that my phone only sees the one watch I’m trying to update.

Lately my series 2 has been struggling, so I’ve been using just one watch. My problem with that is that I tend to forget to take It off the charger very quickly so I end up losing an hour or 2 of regular activity. I’m less obsessive about having it on all the time recently, but I still have the impulse to want to wear one all the time. Funny, since I hated wearing watches for many years.
