I'm sure this is a newbie issue. If I have two windows open sometimes the inactive window will come to the foreground and the name of the window (URL) will show up...kind of hazed out. This is probably a feature and something with my mouse triggers this action. I'd like to disable this, but I'm not sure where to look, or what it's called.

Any help will be appreciated!

What exactly are you talking about? Please specify. Is it an app, Firefox / Safari, Spaces?

Are you by chance invoking Exposé?

does the F10 key do the same thing?

If that's the case then it is almost definitely a mouse trigger since depending on the number of mouse buttons, I know some automatically map to Exposé functions.

It may happen when you squeeze your mighty mouse. The two buttons on the side. Squeeze the mouse again it should go away.

The problem is typically with Safari windows. I'll check it out when I get home and try squeezing the mouse and provide more detail on my posting. Thanks!
