Purchased my macbook pro about two years ago for college and now the clicker on the touchpad seems to not work correctly.

Have an Apple Store in town, and plan to visit them sometime within the next week, but was just curious if anyone could give me an estimate as to how much it may cost to fix/replace the clicker in my trackpad?

There is nothing wrong with tapping to click, just the "old fashioned" clicker in the bottom of the trackpad.

Thanks!

Is your battery swollen? Had the same issue with my MB but after replacing the battery the clicker was fine. Unfortunately I had to pay for the new batteyr.

Same thing has happened recently. My 2 year old MBP's trackpad no longer clicks. Well you can press the pad 20-30 times and you'll get a few clicks. You can hear an audible thump sound when you click the pad. I'm thinking the battery is the culprit. I'll post again if I find more into.
