Hi there,

I just replaced my 3GS battery with a new, supposedly high-quality one from iFixit, after the chinese knock-off unexpectedly shutdown at 40% and about 4 hours of online time.

This phone is jailbroken (as Apple doesn't provide out-of-contract unlocks when original provider refuses to do so), but I doubt it influences battery life in any way. I am typically using it for a few phone calls, lots of SMSs, some apps usage, mostly Facebook and theater-related apps to buy tickets from time to time, and of course, Maps when I need to go to an unknown place.

What should be the typical life of such a phone? I read long ago that iOS 6 tended to make life worse.
