I have had an extremely annoying problem with my new MacBook Pro while typing. Frequently, while typing something a few paragraphs in length or longer, I find that when my eyes return to the work on monitor the insertion point has moved suddenly and is hard to find. Sometimes the sentence I am writing is badly garbled, with strings from what I'm typing broken up and inserted at multiple points in the same or different place in the text. I never had this problem with my '09 MacBook and it is becoming a PITA royal. Is there a design flaw in size or sensitivity of trackpad, perhaps? Assuming trackpad is source, can I make it less sensitive? Shared experience appreciated if you have this problem.

Thanks for reply. I don't think it's graphics. There are no artifacts that would be typically associated with a display problem and the changes are clearly actual edits, albeit erroneous ones. Looking at lots of posts on the forums I think my problem is generally similar to what others have experienced. If unique, my problems could plausibly be attributed to bad ergonomics or an issue with the trackpad, but others report very similar experience. I'm calling in AppleCare. I wish I had started using my new MacBook Pro sooner but it took a while to integrate it into my work flow.
