Hi

Not sure if this is an OS X or MacBook problem but I thought I'd post it here.

I have a problem when typing symbols they are not the same as shown on the keyboard, Say I want to type £ instead of the usual Shift + 3 (I get # instead) it is now Alt + 3, If I want to type € instead of Alt + 2 (I get ™ now) it is Shift + Alt + 2 and it has changed for nearly every single one and I cannot work out why?

Can someone shed some light on this as it is p****** me off big time.

Check in System Prefs >> International >> Input and see what keyboard layout is currently in use.

I was using the US layout, I have no idea how it changed to that but it is back to the British layout:p.

Thanks for the help ergdegdeg:D.
