This news confirms that large iPhone phablets are most preferred devices in the U.S. We know from other data the largest installed base of users are 6.1" followed by 6.5" models.

In the past, some people believed the myth that the 6.7" Pro Max was a niche device that sold as poorly as the 5.4" mini. This new data says otherwise, "with the 12 mini ranking below several Samsung phones."

This is despite a huge price tag, how well would a non pro 6.7 inch device priced at $899 base sell I wonder? Whilst its true that many go for the pro max for the pro features and not its size, its also worth noting that the max model beat the XS/11 pro in past years despite having identical camera modules which shows that there's a significant portion of the consumer base who just want a very large phone.

I would be all over a non-pro Max phone. I’m one that sees the advantages of different sizes and have owned them all, but naturally tend to err on the side of comfort in the hand. Battery life is what makes me keep peaking over the fence though. A non-pro Max...matte aluminum body, a decrease in weight and similar battery capacity would no doubt push me back to the big phone club. I’m thinking 6.2-6.4” would do the trick.

Not surprising at all, best phone on the planet with no completion. 😎

Thats a surprise, I would have expected the 12/ 12 Pro to be the most popular, considering the Max launched a month later

Guessing this has a lot to do with it. 👇

I upgraded from the XS Max to the 12 PM to get this camera - it was very much worth it, especially with ProRAW. The much better reception is a bonus.
Same here XS max > 12 pro max, no intel modem ✅ best camera on the market ✅✅ best battery life, destroys every other smartphone out there when it comes to real world battery usage. ✅✅✅✅✅

I upgraded from an 11 pro max, I was thinking of holding off this year and not using my annual upgrade because on paper I wasn’t seeing much of a difference, but i liked the blue better and in the end decided to switch up, glad i did because even though it looked like a marginal upgrade it felt completely different, better and not just because of my liking the blue better than green, The screen looks better, more crisp, the squared edges make the phone feel better in the hand, even though the battery on paper is smaller it holds a charger better than the 11pm, then the camera, it’s really better!
With my annual upgrades normally my cellular bill goes up slightly, but with the 12pm it stayed the same even with switching that to a 5G data plan, glad that I upgraded!!!

no surprise here I this got the iPhone 12 pro max my self still got my iPhone 12 wish is now a back up

normally it’s the lower priced iphone that sells the most the fact the pro line is selling so well it’s only great for apple certainly given the higher cost.

Not sure they will sell as many 12s pros but then again if they are bringing back Touch ID maybe they will. 120hz is great and will be but the average user will care more about Touch ID i imagine
