Hi. I love in the U.K. And am thinking of buying an iPhone. I would buy it here but at the end of February I'm going to New York. The 16 GB iPhone in the U.S. Is cheaper than the 8 GB version over here, so that's sort of self explanitory. However, if I bought an iPhone in the U.S. And unlock it, will it work just like one bought here? Which iPhone unlocking solution would you suggest? Two I've seen are iPhone unlock U.K. and ZiPhone. Can someone briefly explain how ZiPhone works? Also, is there any unlocking solution that you can install without having to worry about breaking it with Apple's updates? Thanks!

there are numerous posts here regarding unlocking iPhones. Other than that... I'm not sure if the 1.1.3 version can be unlocked. Either way, suck up the cost and buy the iPhone here..

You sure can.

I live in the UK, and my iPhone is from the US. And 1.1.3 is unlockable via software now, so you should be good to go.
