Does anyone have experience with either of these two cases? I haven't used cases on my iPhone in the past, but considering the larger surface area and thinner profile, I'm thinking of picking up one of these two for the 6+.

Right now I'm leaning towards UAG for aesthetics and price, but does anyone have experience using these two cases?

I've used both, not for iphone but I think I can still compare them. The UAG is definitely slimmer than the old version symmetry but otterbox has a newer version that is apparently a bit slimmer. The UAG is maybe a little easier to hold because of it's bends and contours but they are both plastic backed and will slide on surfaces, unless you get the leather symmetry edition.

UAG says it meets military standards but as far as I can tell doesn't actually rate their case for any specific drop height so IMO they are equally protective.

I own two UAG's and really like them. I would go with the UAG. It has small bumpers on the corners on the back and sort of lift your case off any surfaces and prevents it from sliding.

The front bezel is also raised, and even with a tempered glass screen protector installed you still have plenty of "lip" so your screen still doesn't touch the surface when placed face down.

I have both cases for the 6s Plus and both are excellent. The new Otterbox Symmetry is very slightly larger than the UAG, but I prefer it due to its grippiness. I also think it seems a bit more protective. When I have time, I'll try to do a compare and contrast review...

I really like the UAG. Comfortable to hold and it's drop rated to 4ft. That being said I'm currently trying out the Rhinoshield Playproof. Slimmer (but slicker) than the UAG and drop rated to 11.5 ft! Never had the Symmetry.
