I have A CD macbook I can't seem to get any kind of inputs? Anyone have a solution I was reading on another forum and some guy said it had something to do with aggreviated device??? I am a total audio noob so I have no idea any directions??

I have a core duo 1 macbook. Today I brought a copy of the new Universal binary guitar rig 2.2 When I start the program and try to adjust the preference it won't take in the default line in port as the input. On another forum some dude told me to mess around with the aggreviated device settings under midi control in utlities. I try adding it but it didn't do anything.
