so i have leopard on my internal harddrive and have this sad 10gb drive i want to install ubuntu on.. anyway can rEFit work with 2 harddrives instead of using partitions?

would anyone know thanks;)

You need to check out the rEFit documentation at their site:

I personally have used BootIt Next Generation on my Win machine to boot from internal separate drives including one with Ubuntu. No experience doing it on a Mac though. Ubuntu uses GRUB as its boot loader and if I remember correctly, it usually defaults to the root of the master drive. Don't have any idea how it would work on an EFI system.

yea when i went to install ubuntu on the external hd it always said there was an error and then some scary stuff happened so i gave up
