UConnect 8.4N is a multimedia option on my new Jeep Grand Cherokee. The owner's manual indicates that sd cards, iPods, discs, usbs can input to the system. Any thoughts about my iPad 3 as an input device?

Anyone out there have experience w/ the UConnect system?

I have an 8.4N in my charger.
You can navigate library from the radio and controls on steering wheel when connected usb, but some some maddening reason, every single track fades out and then ends about 3 seconds early(some engineer at panasonic thinks this is such a good feature, you can't turn it off).
bluetooth seems to work ok, but fidelity is less. There is 1/8" audio jack but have to navigate library from iPad.
SD card works pretty well, can handle .aac files at mid bitrates (256, 320) but not lossless. also cannot handle seamless tracks.
I gave up on ipod and use sdcard now, but yet have to convert about 30% of library from lossless.
album artwork will show up if is popular title. System ignores image files in your media and instead searches gracenote db.
