ufi2iso just makes empty folders ... suggestions ?

I see that uif2iso has received a few posts in this forum so I'm hoping someone can help me out with this ... I recently tried to convert a 2.3gb uif file to iso using uif2iso and everything seemed to go fine (it progressed all the way to the end and said "done", reporting no errors) but when I mounted the iso file (whether by disk utility or toast) it just produced an empty disk image. I'm using os x 10.4 on a PPC imac. Any suggestions ???
