Just updated to 10.13.1 -- STILL NO FIX for external monitors!!! When the F is Apple going to fix this?!?!

Can you be more specific? External monitors (multiple ones) work for me on MBP w/TB 2017 with current 10.13.1. My issues seem to be more related to "conversion" gizmos (Apple made) and cables for 4k signal rather than MBP itself and/or monitors. I also have issues shutting down and booting with external monitor connected, but that is easy to avoid.

I have 2 LG 5K monitors, using in clamshell mode. When connecting the monitors I usually get black screens. If I disconnect all monitors and open up my Mac it's in a hung state, forcing me to do a hard reset.
